Dec 4: More applications, more walking, and a promising call-back

Dec 4: More applications, more walking, and a promising call-back

Well, the great news is I’m now in the system for the temp agency; and receiving notices for positions but they are all 60-80 miles away from the shelter.

Today I walked to the services center to apply for snap, apparently it takes a few days.  I have applications now for housing and other services like medical.

Later, I walked up the hill towards the “Northside” historical district, and stopped in at the Lawrence County Historical Society.

The ladies there got an impromptu lecture on lime putty, and joinery.  While we were discussing the climate of the preservation efforts here in the area, they mentioned Joe Goodge who runs an organization called Lawrence Co Partners For Preservation

Joe called me back today, and scheduled a meeting for tomorrow.  He’s going to be in New Castle so he’s picking me up from the shelter at 11~!
